Chili Cook Off 2024

Join us for our 7th Annual Chili Cook-Off
We are excited to prepare for our annual Sports Camp Fundraiser, The Amboy Baptist Church 7th Annual Chili Cook-Off!
Every year we host a free sports camp open to the kids in our community. We do not charge the children or their families anything for this 4 day summer camp. Our Chili Cook-Off is our biggest fundraiser for Sports Camp.
Entry fee to COMPETE in the Chili Cook-Off: $15 per contestant. Each contestant and a guest can taste the competition for free!
Admission to eat delicious chili - $2 per person.
Contestants, please RSVP your chili by filling out the form below by February 15th. Bring one Crock Pot full of chili to Amboy Baptist Church (41605 Gerber McKee Rd) by 2:45 on Saturday, October 5th. Judging begins at 3:00pm. We will have electricity available to keep chili in electric warmers at temperature.

Cost:
This is a fundraising event. All of the money from contestant entry and dining entry go toward supporting our Sports Camp
TO COMPETE: $15 entry fee to compete for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prizes. This cost includes a chili dinner for the competitors and their guest.
TO EAT: $2 for a ticket to eat a chili dinner with all the fixin's.

Sunday July 14th at 10am
Worship with us in the fresh air as we meet at Territorial Days Park for our annual Church in the Park service. We hold this outdoor service every year on the last day (Sunday) of Territorial Days Celebration. Worship through song and then listen to Pastor Bob preach a sermon as you sit in the bleachers at 10am at the Olstad stage near the front of the park and then feel free to stay and enjoy the Amboy Territorial Days fun. ** The stage area is shady and chilly in the morning, please bring a jacket or blanket for your comfort. **

Sports Camp July 15-18
Sports Camp is back with a brand new theme, new songs, and new friends!
Campers
Registration is now open!
We are already hard at work getting everything ready for you to have the best Sports Camp ever. Here is what we know so far:
Sports Camp is our annual half-day summer camp that we offer FREE to all of the kids in our community.
- Kids ages 5-13 are invited to join us to try a new sport or play an old favorite, and to learn about the truths of the Bible in a fun and active way.
- July 15 - July 18; 9am - Noon daily.
- July 18 is Family Day! After checking out your kid(s) from their team, stay and play some Summer time games with us! The Amboy Fire Dept. will bring a firetruck and allow kids to play in the firehose, so dress for water play! We will have a giant inflatable water slide, and a bouncy house as well as other activities and a lunch provided. (Parents, please remain with your children during Family Day)
- Snack is provided mid-way each day: Please note any dietary restrictions on your registration form.
Volunteers
Do you have a heart for kids and love sports? If you do, we would LOVE for you to register to be a coach or support coach at this years Amboy Baptist Sports Camp!
Amboy Baptist Church Sports Camp Blaze a Trail invites kids to live an adventure with Jesus! When someone blazes a trail, they step off the path into the unknown. Along the way, they leave marks for others to follow. Kids will learn that Jesus blazed the trail for our salvation! As they follow Jesus, they can live their own adventure that points people to Jesus.
Athletes blaze trails when they set new records and act as extraordinary examples. To blaze a trail, you also must prepare yourself properly, commit despite the risks, endure through difficulties, follow the leader, and leave your mark.
Come be a part of this great opportunity to connect with church family and be involved in the spiritual growth of our kids.
Candlelight Service

Thank you for a beautiful Candlelight Service in 2023
Sunday, December 24th
Christmas Eve is on a Sunday this year. We will have our Christmas service at the regular 10am time, and then return at 6:30pm for a candlelight service. This is a short, evening service that we hold by candlelight every Christmas Eve and we look forward to seeing you there!
