Thank you to everyone who came out to support our Trunk or Treat event this year. We had a blast seeing the decorated cars and playing games together.
Trunk or Treat is back! We're excited to be hosting another Trunk or Treat at Amboy Baptist Church this year. On October 31st, bring your family for a time of fun and games, plus lots of candy! You can trick or treat from our decorated cars, and enjoy fun games while you're here. We have tents and covered areas, so the event is on rain or shine! We can't wait to see you there! Sports Camp 2023

Thank you so much for joining us for Sports Camp! We had our biggest year ever and we loved your enthusiasm. A special thanks to all the Sports Camp Volunteers!
An all new Sports Camp is on the way! Join us this Summer as we roll out new games, sports, and a new theme: “Good Vibes for Jesus”! Through Jesus your child will learn they are Valuable, Influential, Brave, Encouraging, and Selfless! Which are Good VIBES.
Come spend 4 days with us and learn how to face every hurdle head-on knowing God's got your back. As always, Sports Camp is FREE to all kids in our community (Ages 5-16)
Parents are welcome to drop off kids or stay and watch them play.

Chili Cook-Off

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 2023 Chili Cook-Off. Without your entries and your support, we could not have this fundraiser for Sports Camp. We had an amazing assortment of chilis this year including bear, elk, venison, and no-bean, just to name a few. Congratulations to our winners!

Join us for our 6th Annual Chili Cook-Off
We are excited to prepare for our annual Sports Camp Fundraiser, The Amboy Baptist Church 5th Annual Chili Cook-Off!
Every year we host a free sports camp open to the kids in our community ages 4-16. We do not charge the children or their families anything for this week long summer camp. Our Chili Cook-Off is our biggest fundraiser for Sports Camp.
Entry fee to COMPETE in the Chili Cook-Off: $15 per contestant. Each contestant and a guest can taste the competition for free!
Admission to eat delicious chili - $2 per person.
Contestants, please RSVP your chili by filling out the form below by February 15th. Bring one Crock Pot full of chili to Amboy Baptist Church (41605 Gerber McKee Rd) by 2:45 on Saturday, March 4th. Judging begins at 3:00pm. We will have electricity available to keep chili in electric warmers at temperature.

Contestants, please have a crock-pot of chili delivered by 2:45; judging begins at 3pm

This is a fundraising event. All of the money from contestant entry and dining entry go toward supporting our Sports Camp
(UPDATE: Entry space is full, and the form has been removed) TO COMPETE: $15 entry fee to compete for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prizes. This cost includes a chili dinner for the competitors and their guest.
TO EAT: $2 for a ticket to eat a chili dinner with all the fixin's.

Widows of the Word group
Amboy Baptist Church has a very special group of ladies who meet to support one another every month.
MISSION STATEMENT: John 13:34 "A new commandment I give you, that you love on another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another." We follow God's commandments and the instructions given in His Word. We are to be aware of widows in the church and community that need our help and support, sharing Jesus with love and providing hope and encouragement. While doing this, we draw nearer to Jesus Christ and each other. We will encourage them to find a home church to provide fellowship. We meet the second Tuesday of every month at noon at Amboy Baptist Church for a lunch, a time of sharing and a brief meeting. An open invitation is extended to any widow who might like to join us. You will be welcome and find some new friends who share your situation.
Meetings are held at the church at noon on the second Tuesday of every month.
